Interior and exterior painting in Camas
We are a painting company on NE 4th Avenue in Camas, twelve years in, and the crew that paints your house is our own. Most of a paint job is the prep, and that is where the price goes: washing, scraping, patching and priming before a finish coat touches anything. Interiors all year, exteriors in the dry months, cabinets sprayed in our shop. You get a written scope and a fixed price before we start.

Reviews from Camas customers

Cabinets sprayed off-site and back in six days. Honestly looks like a new kitchen. The color consultant talked us out of a white that would have gone blue in our north-facing room.
Priya Raman · Camas, WA
Two bedrooms, the hallway and all the trim in three days. The cut lines along the ceiling are dead straight and they patched twenty years of nail holes we'd stopped noticing. Not a drop of paint on the floors.
Karen O'Malley · Washougal, WA
Before and after, from the same spot
Each pair is a job we finished within a short drive of Camas, both photographs taken from where we stood on the first morning. Addresses you can drive past are available on request.

Karen O'Malley · Washougal, WA
Had the exterior done in August. They waited two days for the cedar siding to dry out after a rain instead of pushing through, which told me everything. Scraped and primed properly; it looks like a new house.
Dave Ferraro · Vancouver, WA
Cabinets sprayed off-site and back in six days. Honestly looks like a new kitchen. The color consultant talked us out of a white that would have gone blue in our north-facing room.
Priya Raman · Camas, WA
Wallpaper removal in a 1960s dining room, three layers deep. They skim-coated the whole thing and it's smoother now than the rest of the house.
Tom Hendricks · Battle Ground, WA
Fair price, showed up at 7:30 every morning, cleaned up every night. My only complaint is that now the rest of the house looks like it needs painting.
Marisol Vega · Salmon Creek, WA
Deck stained in a day after a proper wash and brighten. Water beads on it again, and the moss hasn't come back. They also caught two rotten boards and swapped them before staining.
Steve Kowalski · Ridgefield, WA

Questions we get at the estimate
What prep work do you do before painting?
Prep is most of the job. Walls get washed, nail holes and cracks get patched and sanded, gaps in trim get caulked, and anything glossy or stained gets primed. Outside, that means a low-pressure wash, scraping and feathering loose paint, and spot-priming bare wood. A finish only looks as good as the surface under it, so none of this is skipped.
Do you use low-VOC paint?
Yes, on every job as the standard. We use premium low-VOC and zero-VOC lines from the major manufacturers, which means very little odor and rooms you can sleep in the same night. If you have a specific brand or line in mind, we'll price it.
How many coats will you apply?
Two finish coats, always. Dark-to-light changes, new drywall, patched areas and glossy surfaces get a primer coat first. One-coat paint exists, but one coat rarely covers evenly.
Do I need to move my furniture?
No. We move furniture to the center of the room, cover it and the floors, and put everything back when we're done. Small breakables and anything on the walls are easiest for you to clear beforehand. If a piece is too heavy or valuable for us to move, tell us and we'll work around it.
What happens if the weather turns during an exterior job?
We stop. Exterior paint needs dry wood and the right temperature to cure, and painting into a shower or a damp night ruins the finish. That's why we book exteriors for the dry window, late spring through early fall; a wet Clark County winter doesn't give paint a chance. If rain rolls in mid-job we let the siding dry back out, check it with a moisture meter, and pick back up. You're never charged for weather days.
How do I pick colors?
A color consultation is included with every estimate. We bring sample pots, brush them on your actual walls, and look at them morning and evening. You get a written color schedule for each room with the sheen noted, so there's nothing to remember.
