Portland, OR. Roofing since 2012.
We are a small roofing company on SE Division. The foreman who measures your roof is the one who runs the job, and the price you get in writing is the price you pay. If we find rotten decking under the old shingles, you see the photo before we replace a sheet. Repairs, full replacements, and storm claims, on houses from Gresham to Tualatin.

Roof replacement, repairs, storm damage and insurance claims for Happy Valley homeowners, from a crew based in Portland, a short drive away.
Ridgeline Roofing has been putting roofs on Happy Valley homes for 14 years. We are based in Portland, a short drive from Happy Valley, so a foreman can be on your roof for a free inspection the same week you call, and a tarp can be on it the same night after a storm. Ask us for a Happy Valley address you can drive past.
Every roof we build in Happy Valley gets the same scope: ice-and-water shield six feet up the eaves and in every valley, drip edge, synthetic underlayment, ridge venting, and architectural shingles, installed by our own crew with the permit filed with the city or county. Repairs get the same care: flashing rewoven, not caulked over, and a photo report of what we found. If a storm came through Happy Valley, we document the damage in the format adjusters use and meet the adjuster on your roof.

Each one is a written, itemized quote. The service pages say what is included.
Old shingles off to bare decking, any soft sheathing replaced, then ice-and-water shield at the eaves and valleys, synthetic underlayment, drip edge, a ridge vent, and architectural shingles. Most houses are done in a day and never left open overnight.
Chimney and pipe-boot flashing, wind-lifted shingles, nail pops, valley leaks, and moss on the shaded north slopes. We find the leak from the attic up, fix what is actually failing, and tell you honestly whether the roof has years left.
Wind storms, fallen firs, a winter rain that finds an old leak. We document the damage, meet your adjuster on the roof, and handle the supplement paperwork so the carrier pays for what it owes you.
Seamless aluminum gutters run on site to the inch, oversized downspouts, and guards that shed fir needles and bigleaf-maple seeds instead of holding them.
Vinyl and fiber-cement siding, with the house wrapped and every window flashed in the right order. Done with the roof or on its own. Trim, soffit, and fascia are in the quote.
We replace skylights that leak and add new ones. Deck-mounted, curb-mounted, and solar-venting units, flashed with the manufacturer's kit, which is the part that keeps them dry.
Any hour, any weather. We dry in the damage the same night, and the cost of the tarp comes off the repair or the replacement.
A walk of the roof and the attic with a photo report you can read on your phone. Before a sale, after a storm, or after a leak.
Two new skylights and a ridge vent. They explained why the old ones leaked (installed with no flashing kit, just tar) and the attic is 15 degrees cooler in July. Clean, on time, and the invoice matched the quote to the dollar.
These are starting points so you know before you call. Every job gets a written, itemized quote that is good for 30 days, and the quote is what you pay.

Financing is available on approved credit through our lending partner: 0% for 18 months · as low as $189/mo. The application takes about five minutes, checking does not touch your credit score, and the first payment is not due until the roof is on. Ask on the form and we will send the link.
Wind, a downed fir, a limb through the deck. If a storm did it, your homeowner's policy probably covers it. We document the damage, write the estimate in the same line-item format the carrier uses, and stand on the roof with the adjuster so nothing gets missed.
You pay your deductible and nothing else. We do not inflate claims, and if the damage is not worth filing we will say so.
Most of what goes wrong with a roof in Portland goes wrong at the edges: the eaves, the valleys, the chimney, the pipes. So that is where we spend the money. Ice-and-water shield runs six feet up every eave and the full length of every valley on every roof we build, not as an upgrade. Drip edge goes on every eave and rake. Ridge vents get cut in. The shingles are architectural, rated for 130-mile winds and resistant to the algae that blackens a shaded north slope here.
We put plywood under the dumpster and tarps over the beds, and we run the magnet over the lawn and driveway twice before we leave. The quote is itemized line by line and good for 30 days. If we open the roof and find decking that has to go, you get a photo and a per-sheet price before we touch it.
The crew at Ridgeline Roofing
The foreman who measures your roof runs the crew that installs it. No subcontractors.
Limited lifetime material coverage from the shingle maker, and our own 10-year workmanship warranty.
Filed with the city or county, final inspection scheduled, the fee a line in the quote.
If the roof has years left and the leak is a flashing problem, we fix the flashing and say so.
All of these are within a twenty-minute drive of the shop. If you would like to see one in person, ask and we will give you an address.
Your own before-and-after photos go here.
The January wind storm took shingles off half the street's roofs. Ridgeline had a tarp on ours that same evening, met our adjuster the following week and walked him through every lifted tab they'd flagged. Claim approved for a full replacement. Crew finished in a day and a half and ran the magnet over the lawn twice.
Leak around the chimney every time it rained sideways. Two other companies quoted a new roof. Tom got up there, found the step flashing had been caulked over instead of woven in, and fixed it properly for a few hundred bucks. That's honesty you don't forget.

Seamless gutters and guards on a 1928 craftsman. Scheduling ran a week longer than promised because of the storm rush, but the work itself is excellent. The downspouts finally drain away from the foundation.
Full replacement, architectural shingles. Their quote actually itemized ice-and-water shield and drip edge, which the cheaper quote left off completely. Still came in $1,400 under the third bid. Foreman stayed until the last nail was picked up.
Fir limb through the roof at 9pm on a Sunday. Called the number, a person picked up, two guys had it tarped by 11. Insurance covered the whole thing and they handled the paperwork. Can't ask for more.
We are based in Portland and work across Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington County, and across the river in Vancouver. If your town is not in the list, call anyway. If we can get a truck there in half an hour, we will come.
Most homes in our area are one day: tear-off in the morning, dried-in by noon, shingled by late afternoon. Larger or steeper roofs, or ones with rotten decking, run two days. We never leave a roof open overnight.
Yes. We document the damage with photos and chalk-marked test squares, write the estimate in the line-item format adjusters use, and meet the adjuster on site. If a supplement is needed for code items like ice-and-water shield or drip edge, we file it. On an approved claim you pay your deductible and nothing else.
A self-sealing rubberized membrane that goes under the shingles at the eaves, in the valleys, and around chimneys and pipes. It stops wind-driven rain and backed-up water at the eaves and in the valleys, which is what shows up as a ceiling stain in the middle of a February downpour. Code only requires it where ice forms along the eaves; we run it six feet up and in every valley on every roof anyway, because a valley full of fir needles in a November storm is the same problem.
Often, yes. If the shingles have life left and the leak is a flashing or pipe-boot problem, a repair is the right call and we'll say so. If the roof is at the end of its life, patching it is throwing money away and we'll say that too. Either way you get it in writing.
Two. A manufacturer-backed limited lifetime warranty on the shingle system (we install complete systems from a single manufacturer, so their enhanced coverage applies), and our own 10-year workmanship warranty on the installation. Both are transferable once if you sell the house.
Every replacement, every time. We file with the city or county, schedule the final inspection, and the permit fee is a line in the quote. Small repairs under the permit threshold don't need one, and we'll tell you which is which.
Tell us what you are seeing and send a photo if you have one: the ceiling stain, the shingles in the yard, the tree on the roof. A roofer texts you back within 15 minutes during business hours, and we come out, walk the roof and the attic, and leave you a photo report and a written price. No charge, no obligation, and a straight answer on whether an insurance claim is worth filing.
